Severe Cyclonic Storm ‘Michaung’ is likely to make landfall on the southern coast of Andhra Pradesh between Nellore and Machilipatnam on 5th December 2023. Cyclone Michaung’s torrential rains sent tall waves crashing into coastal towns after the landfall in southern India. Hyderabad Ashram of Bharat Sevashram Sangha began its relief work on 9th December 2023, among the affected people at Bapatla in Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh. Led by Swami Munishwaranandaji Maharaj, the volunteers along with the assistance of local people, the Sangha has started supporting the people who have been left in the lurch with dry foods, blankets, sarees, t-shirts etc. Swamiji has taken 1000 blankets, 500 sarees, 500 t-shirts, Dry Food etc. loaded in the relief van of the Sangha from Hyderabad ashram for the distressed people.

The relief work has been done among an estimated 1500 people at Bapatla, Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh.
