Deepavali and Shri Shri KaliMata Puja Festival 2019
Shri Shri Kali Puja, the worshipping of the Mother Goddess, has come to be associated with the extermination of evil forces. Shri Shri Kali Puja, hence, is celebrated every year with great religious and festive fervor on the day of Deepavali at Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Hyderabad, since the last 62 years. This year, it was celebrated on the 27th of October, 2019. A religious conference was conducted in the evening in order to instill the value of going by the traditions as dictated by the scriptures of our ancient but erudite Hindu religion, and the advantages of practicing these rituals in our day-to-day life. The board of speakers who enlightened the audience on this auspicious occasion consisted of Justice M.S Ram Chandra, who presided over the evening’s events, Dr.S.K Joshi (IAS, Chief Sec. Govt. Of Telangana), Sri N.Krishna Mohan (CMD, Sri Chakra Cements), alongwith Swami Muneeshwaranandaji and Swami Ambarishananadaji Mahraj. Distribution of sarees, T-shirts was also conducted among a huge crowd of homeless destitutes, the count going up to as high as 1000. At night, after the Puja and Havan, there was distribution of Bhog Prasadam, followed by Bhog Prasadam distribution the next afternoon as well.
A huge span of about 2500 devotees thronged the temple premises to be bestowed with the Mother Goddess’ blessings.
